The Tampa Bay Buccaneers fired coach Lovie Smith on Wednesday night, discount dismissing him after two seasons and giving him only one with No. 1 overall draft pick Jameis Winston behind center.

Smith went 6-10 this season and 8-24 over two years in charge of the team.

“After careful consideration, tadalafil we informed Lovie that we have decided to make a change,” Buccaneers co-chairman Joel Glazer said in a statement Wednesday night. “I want to thank Lovie for his hard work and dedication to the Buccaneers during his time here.”

TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Dirk Koetter admitted Monday that he was “disappointed” wide receiver Mike Evans chose to sit during the national anthem before Sunday’s game to protest Donald Trump’s election as president of the United States.

“Yeah, I’m disappointed for that,” Koetter said. “I also respect Mike’s freedom of speech and freedom of expression.”

Koetter said he was adopting the same stance he took when asked in August how he would react if one of his players protested in similar fashion to Colin Kaepernick. He even read the same statement when he addressed the media Monday.

Andrew Norton is our resident fantasy football expert, but since Andrew is currently on his honeymoon, I’ll be filling in this week. Which begs the question: If you’re on your honeymoon, do you dare set your fantasy lineups on Thursday and Sunday?

I’m saying no. Not only is this just fantasy football (apologies to those for whom that is blasphemy) but it’s just one week of fantasy football. That’s not worth risking decades of marital bliss. Besides, Andrew’s the type who probably had all his lineups set ahead of time.

The Buccaneers are set to take the field in prime time on Thursday night (8:25 p.m. ET kickoff) when they host the Falcons at Raymond James Stadium. Buccaneers running back Antone Smith and defensive end Howard Jones both suffered season-ending injuries during Thursday night’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay coach Dirk Koetter announced Friday afternoon.

Smith suffered a knee injury in the Buccaneers’ 43-28 defeat at Raymond James Stadium. He had five carries for 25 yards, fumbling once, and caught three passes for 27 yards.
