1) So, uh, who’s left at quarterback for Nebraska?  Are you guys going to be pulling Bubba Starling out of minor league baseball?  Trying to wring some more eligibility out of Scott Frost? Give us the lowdown on the quarterback position for Nebraska on Friday. 

SCaS: Following Saban’s lead, we dug through the rule book and found an old rule that allows you to bring back players with expired eligibility as long as they aren’t playing the position they played. Since most of our great players are getting on in years, we brought back Taylor Martinez as a safety, but he’ll be taking some snaps at wildcat.

Riley added Armstrong hasn’t gone full speed yet and hasn’t “cut it loose” but he will still be the starter.

“I don’t see any noticeable limp or soreness or anything, site ” Riley said. “He’s definitely progressed from Monday to today.”

Senior quarterback Ryker Fyfe, search who led Nebraska to its 28-7 win over Maryland in Armstrong’s absence, vialis 40mg will also be available to play. Fyfe had surgery on his left wrist and has been wearing a cast all week. He will be ready to go on Friday, Riley said.

Riley said the final decision on if Armstrong will be full-go for quarterback runs will be dependent on how Armstrong feels on Friday.

Nebraska football coach Mike Riley has invited Brenda Tracy to Lincoln, Neb. for an unprecedented visit on Wednesday. Tracy is the survivor of an alleged gang-rape by four college football players in 1998. She’ll meet with Riley one-on-one for the first time since the incident and address his Huskers football team in a private meeting.

ESPN’s Outside the Lines will feature Tracy on Monday’s program. But before that, Tracy wanted to share her thoughts with our readers.

Since its implementation, the College Football Playoff hasn’t been as clear cut as expected.

Clemson, for instance, started last season ranked 12th by The Associated Press and Coaches polls, before coming within one possession of a national championship.

Teams make runs. Few saw saw Christian McCaffrey setting the Pac-12 with a record-breaking season that nearly earned him a Heisman and elevated his team to third in the end-of-season rankings; even fewer saw Iowa winning a school-record 12 games last year after entering the season unranked in every poll imaginable.

In the opening weekend of the college football season, sickness many folks around the sport honored the memory of fallen Nebraska Kicker Sam Foltz. And that was before the Huskers did their own remembrance.

Earlier in the day, ampoule as Wisconsin defeated LSU in the confines of Lambeau Field, Badgers Kicker Rafael Gaglianone wore the #27 that he promised. And, as he kicked a few field goals, including the winning one, he made sure to point the number.

Things look a little different on Joel Weber’s property this time of year.

His Dorchester farm, located a little more than a half-hour drive from Memorial Stadium, currently has a 1,398-foot-wide corn art installation cut into it in the shape of a football. It reads “U.S. Cellular Husker Fantasy Camp,” with a 170-foot-tall Nebraska “N” and a number of line patterns. The football is remarkably well-manicured — it even includes laces.

Weber was born in Friend, Nebraska, and grew up on the farm he currently oversees.

The power of today’s young people has never been expressed better than Nebraska linebacker Michael Rose Ivey did on Monday. Ivey, and teammates DaiShon Neal and Mohamed Barry kneeled during the playing of the national anthem before the start of Saturday’s game against Northwestern University. As you can imagine, the backlash has been incredible.

They have received death threats, a litany of racists messages and one Regent members wants them kicked out of school, simply for expressing their freedom of speech.

Nebraska football honored its former punter Sam Foltz with a touching tribute early on in its season opener with Fresno State Saturday night.

In Nebraska’s first punting situation of the season, it sent out only 10 players leaving no one at the punter’s position.
