ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Cool weather and a “red hot” Virgil Green defined the day.

1. THE (VIRGIL) GREEN PARTY.

During one period of practice, Green ran to the goal line on fourth-and-9 from the defense’s 12, went low and made a quick catch of a Mark Sanchez pass with T.J. Ward in tight coverage. In a later period, he went high in the back of the end zone to snag a Sanchez pass for a touchdown.

Preseason predictions obviously don’t mean much.

Prior to last year, stuff Sports Illustrated picked Baltimore to beat Seattle in the Super Bowl (neither team qualified) and had the Bengals finishing 6-and-10.

This year, site I will not be surprised if most prognosticators expect the Bengals to win fewer than the 12 games they captured last season – after all, it’s hard to win that many – but I must admit I was stunned when one writer from NFL.com predicted that the Bengals will go 4-and-12.

His reasoning for the drop of eight wins is connected to the departure of offensive coordinator Hue Jackson.

Tim Twentyman tracks the performance of tackle Taylor Decker during Day 3 of training camp practice.

TAYLOR DECKER

Position: Tackle

Ht./Wt.: 6-7, 310

College: Ohio State

Experience: Rookie

Outlook: The Lions selected Decker 16th overall in this year’s draft, and have immediately placed him at left tackle. It’s allowed them to move Riley Reiff over to right tackle, which the Lions hope makes them stronger upfront.

Decker combines terrific size with good athleticism, but like any rookie, he’s going to go through some ups and downs, especially early on. He’s still adjusting to the speed at this level. He’s a player that should get better every time he steps on the field in camp.

Bringing balance to the offense will make everyone better, ailment and create more space for Eli Manning and his variety of weapons. It will make play action passing a more effective play. Perhaps more important than anything else, viagra sale it will help the Giants in two areas they struggled in on offense last year: third down and green zone percentage.
