It’s early, drug but it’s never too early to start looking ahead at Ravens contracts and unrestricted free agents for 2017.

Two separate notes on outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil and right tackle Rick Wagnerfrom this week’s news cycle piqued my interest on the topic.

First, medications the Atlanta Falcons reportedly signed right tackle Ryan Schraeder to a five-year deal worth up to $33 million. Both Schraeder (undrafted rookie) and Wagner (fifth round) came into the league in 2013, pilule and both have been regular starters since 2014.

I can’t think of a less surprising comment than Ray Lewis telling an FS1 interviewer “you need a burning fire behind you” when you play football.

That’s how Lewis approached the job during his brilliant career with the Ravens, and he was demonstrative about exhibiting his passion. He might be the most famously demonstrative character in NFL history. “Saturday Night Live” lampooned him for it, but it worked for him, fired him up to play linebacker as well as anyone who ever suited up.

All that’s transpired during the Ravens’ rollercoaster season no longer matters. Baltimore is starting fresh.

“We look at the rest of the season as a six-game season. In some ways, view this is like our opener,” Head Coach John Harbaugh said Monday. “We know that everything is right in front of us.”

As far as the Ravens are concerned, they are essentially 0-0 in this new season where they are tied with the 0-0 Pittsburgh Steelers. And, Baltimore can deliver a massive blow this week to one of their other biggest rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals, while boosting their own playoffs chances.

The Baltimore Ravens were up seven with 11 seconds left, order and trying to hold on for the win against the Cincinnati Bengals. Unfortunately, prescription they couldn’t muster another first down to run the clock out completely, so they trotted out the punt team. It looked like Cincinnati would have one final chance to pull off a miracle, either with a punt return or a final play Hail Mary pass.

It’s an old NFL cliché that games are won and lost in the trenches.

Get ready to hear that one a lot this Sunday as the run-stopping Ravens take on the run-happy Dallas Cowboys this Sunday at AT&T Stadium.

The Ravens have long built their vaunted defensive approach around stuffing the run and currently have the league’s top-ranked run defense, adiposity allowing just 71.3 yards per game.

The Ravens offense seemed to find itself in the second half of last week’s game against the Cleveland Browns. Baltimore put up 21 points as quarterback Joe Flacco threw three touchdowns in the team’s most lopsided victory since the 2014 season.

The breakout was a great sign for an offense that has struggled for much of the season, sale and the question now is whether that performance will carry into Sunday’s matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.

“You have to translate it, symptoms ” quarterback Joe Flacco said. “You have to find a way to make that stuff continue to work, and continue to get better at the stuff that made us go off there a little bit in the second half. We can’t expect it to just happen.”

The Ravens chased Browns third-round rookie quarterback Cody Kessler out of the game just after halftime last Thursday night.

It won’t be that easy this week – even if Tony Romo is waiting on the sideline.

The Dallas Cowboys’ Dak Prescott is not your average rookie starting quarterback.

Prescott is under center for the team with the best record in the NFL (8-1). He’s thrown just two interceptions to 14 touchdowns and has the league’s fourth-best quarterback rating.

This Win Changes Everything
Talk about 60 minutes changing everything. After the Ravens extended their losing streak to four games with a dismal loss to the New York Jets on Oct. 23, sildenafil it was difficult to envision them doing much of anything this season. But after getting healthier during the bye and throttling the Steelers to end their losing streak, there they’re in first place in the AFC North with reason to feel optimistic about what lies ahead.
