Why I don’t Pay for Club Volleyball:

One of my friends asked, order “Why do you pay so much for club volleyball?, pill Below is a summary of my answer, I wanted you to know what I really “pay” for and what I hope you gain from these experiences. The truth is I never intended to pay for club volleyball.

I pay to assure that you are  pushed beyond your perceived limits. I pay professional coaches to challenge you at every practice and match. I pay them to push and challenge you to the point where you might want to quit because it is so tough. I pay them to build up your confidence at the same time so you don’t. I pay them to coach you in volleyball because I understand that your self-assurance on the court transcends to your everyday life. I pay for you to learn how to set goals and chase down dreams.

One rule to be tested would give a server another service attempt if their first one hits the net and falls inbounds, much like on a serve in tennis. Under the current rule, the ball is in play.

“This has never happened since I started playing this game 15 years ago (for good reason), and it’s crazy to me that the AVP would choose their “Championships” to test out some new rules,” Walsh Jennings wrote.

NOT THE KIND OF BUMP WE WERE LOOKING FOR

NOT THE KIND OF BUMP WE WERE LOOKING FOR

For the Times it was a “culture clash”, for the Daily Mail “a massive cultural divide” between “the cover-ups” and “the cover-nots” – and for the Sun the cultural divide was not “massive” but “colossal”.

The pictures of Egypt’s women’s beach volleyball team playing Germany swept the internet yesterday, but while some people focused on what divided the players, others focused on what united them.

“Hijab vs bikini thing aside, how much of a ‘culture clash’ is it really if you are both playing women’s beach volleyball at the Olympics?” tweeted columnist Ben Machell.

CNN’s Bill Weir described it on Twitter as an Olympic Rorschach test, asking: “Do you see a culture clash? Or the unifying power of sport?”
