RB Leipzig‘s German striker Timo Werner is a man in demand, according to reports in Spain. The international forward has scored six goals in nine games in his second Bundesliga season, and is attracting attention from both Barcelona and Real Madrid. However, there is Premier League interest too, as Jurgen Klopp has identified him as a target to improve his side’s forward line. The 21-year-old could yet attract interest from other clubs, too, when the winter transfer window opens

Paper Round’s view: Werner has endured a difficult week after being forced from the pitch in the first half against Besiktas because the crowd was too noisy. However, he is the most promising German youngster out of a large pool of potential superstars. A move in January might make sense, because a good showing at the World Cup might see the asking price for him rocket.
