SOUTH BEND, Ind., Dec. 1 (UPI) — Redshirt junior quarterback Malik Zaire is set to transfer from Notre Dame.

Originally, the school blocked his move to teams on its 2017 schedule, but now his release in unconditional, according to ESPN.com’s Matt Fortuna.

The Fighting Irish face Temple, Boston College, Georgia, Miami University, Michigan State, UNC, USC, NC State, Wake Forest, the University of Miami, Navy, and Stanford next season.

Zaire was originally allowed to transfer to only North Carolina on that list. He graduates in December and will be immediately eligible next season at any school.

The quarterback has Florida, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, and Wisconsin as his “primary” suitors, according to Irish Illustrated. Zaire missed the majority of the 2015 season with a broken right ankle.
