Dershwitz tallied a +24 touch-differential over the course of the tournament (Gil Talbot).

QUEENS, N.Y. –  The Harvard men’s fencing team was challenged at the St. John’s Invitational, tallying a 1-4 finish. The Crimson (5-5) were able to tally an 16-11 victory over Penn State.

In the final bouts of the day, Harvard faced Penn State. The Crimson were able to walk away with a 16-11 victory, with scores of 7-2 in sabre, 4-5 foil and 5-4 in epee. Sophomore Eli Dershwitz rattled off a +8-touch differential against the Lions in sabre. Sophomore Albert Chien registered a +8-touch differential in epee against Penn State. Freshman Duncan Rheingans-Yoo finished the match against Penn State with a +4-touch differential.
