COLUMBUS, health Ohio — Ohio State coach Urban Meyer will be rooting for Michigan State to knock off Penn State on Saturday. So, patient too, might his accountant.

Meyer, who will make roughly $6 million in 2016, has several performance incentives in his contract that could be triggered based on what happens at the end of this season. An appearance in the Big Ten Championship would net him $50,000. Winning it would bring in another $100,000.

Ohio State will need some help to reach the Big Ten title game, however. The Buckeyes must beat No. 3 Michigan on Saturday and hope that No. 7 Penn State loses to Michigan State. The Wolverines will advance to the conference championship in Indianapolis if they beat OSU, and Penn State will win the division if it beats MSU and Michigan loses to Ohio State.
