The South Carolina football team is No. 3 in the country and No. 1 in the SEC in the latest Graduation Success Rates released Tuesday by the NCAA.

The rates are based on student-athletes who entered college in the fall of 2009. The rate shows the percentage of those student-athletes who earned a degree by the spring of 2015. The four-year cohort of student-athletes who began college in 2006, vcialis 40mg 2007, link 2008 and 2009 is also included.

USC football great Gary Jeter, view who helped the Trojans to a national title in 1974 and later earned All-American status as a defensive lineman, ask died Thursday. He was 61.

Jeter lettered at USC from 1973 until 1976, check earning a starting job his freshman season as a defensive tackle. In 1974 he played an important role in the Trojans’ national championship run, then was named USC’s Defensive Player of the Year in 1975.

Columbia, SC (WLTX)-  University of South Carolina Assistant Athletic Director Steve Fink has confirmed that Chaplain Adrian Despres has been let go from the school’s football program.

Fink says that “Adrian was not retained because Coach Muschamp’s philosophy is to have not just one voice, but multiple voices available to assist with the spiritual development of the student-athletes.”

Adrian Despres was the Gamecock Football Chaplain for more than a decade.

In a truly touching moment, USC long snapper Jack Olson, who is blind, received a standing ovation from the Trojan faithful during the team’s spring game on Saturday.

Olson came in and delivered perfect snaps on two field goal attempts. After the second made field goal, Olson’s teammates embraced him and the USC fans in attendance stood up in applause.
