The Vikings face off against the 10-1 Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football. For the 6-5 Vikings it’s an incredibly important game not just because it’s a measuring stick against one of the best teams in the league, but because the Vikings could certainly use the win to keep their playoff hopes alive.

“Well, they’re the best team we’ve played,” Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said after Tuesday’s practice. “I mean, we are 6-5, last time I checked, I don’t know. Did they take some away? But yeah, they’re a good team.”

Zimmer is right. It looked like Minnesota’s schedule was full of tests to start the season, but teams like the Panthers, Packers and Cardinals have ended up being duds.

The Cowboys have the league’s best running game, and the passing attack with Dak Prescott, Dez Bryant and Cole Beasley isn’t anything to laugh about.
